Philosophy
Our addition of the Smart Light Technology system will take our training to the next level. This training tool leverages the advantage of technology and allows ours students to experience visual learning like they never have before. The Smart Light system projector can show the goalie:
- The difference between proper and improper positioning
- Variances involved with lefty and righty shooters
- The importance of tight angle play
- Improvement in recovery and puck tracking
- Greatly enhanced mental focus
This system also ensures that each teacher will have consistent teaching methods so that we are all on the same page to ensure your goalie’s proper development. The system is able to visually deliver a concept in a way that nothing else can. This capability coupled with our detailed teaching methods provides your goalie with tools that no other company can come close to.
Our advice is when evaluating a goalie coach look to see the distribution of their playing population. Find the right fit for you. See if you fit with the coach personality wise and what their plans are for your development. I have had goalies play at all levels of hockey so I truly underswtand where you might fall in the landscape of goalies. My team and I work hard to make sure that you gain the most improvement in your game. Our goal is to help you make the right choices to ensure that your career lasts as long as it can whatever level that may be (Professional, College, Junior, Prep school, High school). We follow a continuous improvement philosophy. This system has been developed and has evolved over time to match the needs of each individual goalie. The flexibility in our training system allows us to make the necessary changes for improvement each time you train with us. Our system allows us to interact with the goalie to find out what part of their game is having difficulty. Working in unison with our students we can then develop an individual plan for that specific time we are training together. Improvement is ensured each session and our track record of goalies speaks for itself. The flexibility our system provides also ensures a positive learning environment. We chose this approach becuase your game is in a constant state of change. A rigid weekly program that has a specific focus each week and is merely repeated over a cylce of weeks may work for some but not for us. We have had great results for over 30 years with our system. Please note this is our boutique mindset and method. If it does not work for you then by all means please stay with what you are doing or find somehting that does work for you!
