Meet Our Summer Staff

Chris has served as an Assistant Coach for Clarkson (his alma mater) and Merrimack. Prior to coaching, Chris played 12 years in the DEL (German Elite League). Chris also starred for Clarkson for 3 seasons while earning a degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering. Upon graduation he played in the minors before going over to Germany. He brings passion and a great deal of knowledge about the position and is a favorite with many of the students. He has helped us for the last 6 years on the summer staff.

Fred has seen it all and done it all. He has coached at every level except the NHL. He has guided several US National Teams to medal performances on the men’s and women’s sides. His name is very well known in New England goalie coaching circles. He has over 35 years of caching experience and has personally coached at every level you can in the NCAA. Fred was also the head coach for the Union College Women’s team and  was instrumental in bringing it from a D3 level to its current D1 status. He has helped hundreds of goalies reach their dreams over the years. He has helped Puckstoppers since 2005 during the summer and regular seasons.

Nick is a former long time student of Puckstoppers.  He worked with Puckstoppers through his youth, junior and college years.  He played at Utica College and earned ECAC West All-Star status during his time there.  He also led the country in D3 wins his junior year at Utica as he guided the team to and NCAA tournament birth.  From there he worked at Plymouth State University as an assistant where the powerplay ranked among the best in the country while he was there.  Nick then went to Buffalo State as an assistant coach. He helped 2 of the Buffalo State goalies move onto professional hockey and helped them achieve All-American Status while they were at Buffalo State.  He is currently the coach of the Seacoast Prep team at their top U 16 level.

Casey has been a long time student of Puckstoppers.  He works with us during the season. He has served as goalie coach for the Seacoast Spartans goalies.  During his tenure there ( 2011-2015) 4 years he helped the Spartans goalies achieve great success. He also served as the goalie coach for North Yarmouth Academy.  Casey played in Maine and started at Chevrus where he won a State High School title. From there he played juniors and then went onto University of Southern Maine. He is also a PGA golf pro.  He is currently working with Puckstoppers in studying the finer biomechanics of goaltending looking to reduce the amount of hip injuries and knee injuries.

Rob is well known in New England hockey circles.  He works with many groups and has a large amount of contacts.  He is the owner of the Whalers summer tourney teams and works extensively with the Boston Advantage.  He played at UMass-Boston, and for the Boston Advantage prior to that. This is his 5th summer with us.

Several of our college goalies join us for the summer as well.
